Who we are
Molässa grew out of on-and-off conversations between two friends who often tossed around the idea of starting a Caribbean rum company — affording them regular trips to sandy beaches and incredible sailing as they approached retirement. When they finally dug in, they quickly realized the alcohol world came with more headaches than fun. There was no shortage of regulations and red tape. But in learning about rum — and its close ties to molasses—they stumbled on something unexpected: a smooth, golden sweetener with a flavor unlike anything else on the shelf. That discovery became Molässa, a lighter take on traditional molasses, ready to brighten breakfasts, desserts, and everything in between. Made in the USA, trips to the Caribbean will have to wait.
